Chester Tesco reopens after computer glitch

TESCO’s Chester store reopened just before midday on Friday (July 25) following a computer glitch which caused all the electronic tills to stop working.

Staff had to turn away dozens of shoppers from the Frodsham Street store after it was temporarily closed due to a technical problem.

However, the matter was resolved by 11.45am and about 100 customers, who had congregated outside, were allowed in.
