Mum in court charged with murder of four-year-old child

A MOTHER charged with murdering her four-year-old daughter has appeared in court.

Joanne Hill, 31, from Goya Close, Connah’s Quay, made a brief appearance before Chester Crown Court this morning (Wednesday, July 23).

Wearing a black suit jacket and cream top, she spoke only to confirm her name.

Mrs Hill, formerly of Chester, is charged with murdering Naomi Hill, a pupil of Golftyn CP School in Connah’s Quay, on November 25 last year. In May she entered a plea of not guilty.

Details of how Naomi died have not been disclosed.

In court today, Recorder of Chester, Judge Elgan Edwards, extended the custody time limit until September 10.

The case was adjourned until September 8 or 9 for trial.
