Couple’s golden joy

A COUPLE who met 50 years ago have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Grace and Arthur Tydd, of Broxton Road, Clutton, met in 1957 when Grace’s sister arranged a meeting and the couple were married at Bunbury Church on June 30 1958 – the day after Grace’s 17th birthday.

The couple celebrated with a surprise party at Grace’s sister’s house in Malpas, attended by their five children, their spouses and their 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
