Complaint is not ignored

WITH reference to a letter published in last week’s Chronicle (July 11) “No answer to complaints”

Your reader was understandably angry that she had received no response to a letter of complaint sent to Western Cheshire Primary Care Trust.

We did receive her letter and promptly investigated her complaint. Unfortunately, as your reader did not supply us with her address, we have been unable to write back to her about the outcome.

Since last week’s letter was published, we have asked your newspaper to pass our contact details to your correspondent so she can make direct contact with us again, or perhaps if she reads this she can write, with her contact details, to Helen Bellairs, Chief Executive, Western Cheshire Primary Care Trust, 1829 Building, Countess of Chester Health Park, Liverpool Road, Chester, CH2 1HJ.

I would like to reassure her, and all your readers, that complaints made against us are taken very seriously indeed and are fully and promptly investigated and we always contact complainants with the outcome.

HELEN BELLAIRS

Chief Executive, Western Cheshire Primary Care Trust
