Pub toasts contest success

CUSTOMERS at The Cholmondeley Arms drank the pub to victory in a national wine competition.

The competition was part of a promotion of wines from France’s Loire Valley run in association with Inter-Loire, the committee for Loire wines, and wine merchant Rodney Densem Wines.

More than 200 restaurants from around the UK participated in the promotion. The theme consisted of re-introducing to customers classic wines such as Muscadet, Vouvray, Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, Anjou Rose, Chinon and Saumur Rouge.
