Sign success puts pair in the saddle

Sign success puts pair in the saddle

TWO Frodsham school children have been surprised with bikes as prizes for a sign design competition.

Hannah Butterworth, nine, and Ben Williams, 10, from Frodsham Manor House School were selected from about 100 entries for designing signs warning parents not to park illegally on zigzag lines outside the school.

Pupils will be handing the tickets out to parents in a bid to make them think twice on the school run.

The competition was run in conjunction with local PCSOs Kay Swindlehurst and Gary Hargreaves.

At a special assembly on Thursday, the children were presented with their prizes.

Headteacher Ian Devereux-Roberts said: “The looks on their faces were fantastic”.

The two winning designs will be displayed around the local area as part of the Cheshire Constabulary Be Safe Feel Safe Campaign.
