More silver success at show

THE University of Chester has won a silver rosette for the second time in three years at the Cheshire Show.

The university’s exhibit came second in the trade stand category and included several interactive features for the public to try.

From sampling the latest music technology to calculating carbon footprints, a whole host of activities was on offer at the University of Chester’s marquee at this year’s show which took place near Knutsford.

Corporate events co-ordinator Lynda Baguley oversaw the design and presentation of the exhibit.

She said: “As Cheshire’s own university we are thrilled to have been recognised for such a prestigious award for the second time in three years. It is testament to the hard work of staff and students at the university.

“We wanted to make this year’s exhibit as interesting and diverse as possible, creating a number of different interactive activities that would appeal to a wide range of people.”

The interactive theme, developed by the university’s corporate communications department, included a wide range of exciting exhibits to challenge both body and mind.
