Full steam ahead as Kelsall rally pulls crowd

NOSTALGIA was in the air when enthusiasts gathered at a rally.

The two-day Kelsall Steam & Vintage Rally was held at Churches View Farm, Kelsall Road, Ashton.

Visitors could enjoy everything from steam engines, classic cars, vintage motorcycles and vintage tractors to stationary engines, commercial vehicles, special exhibits and shire horses, which were a new attraction.

The event included the 75th anniversary of Cheshire truck manufacturers ERF and 160 vehicles were booked in from across the country.

Apart from 30 minutes on the second day, the rain stayed away.

“It was a good weekend,” said Marie Cliffe from the organisers.
