TWO men have been arrested following a series of drugs raids in Lache.

The neighbourhood policing investigation team from Chester Outer seized “sizeable” quantities of drugs from two houses in the area on Wednesday (July 2).

A 30-year-old male was arrested for possession with intent to supply amphetamines.

A 40-year-old man at a second address was arrested for possession with intent to supply amphetamines, cultivation of cannabis and a significant amount of cash.

Around 5,000 cigarettes, thought to have been illegally imported, were also discovered.

Both men are expected to appear before magistrates on Thursday (July 3) morning.

At a third address, a small amount of cannabis was found and the offender issued with a caution.
