A MAN was rescued from the River Dee in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police received reports at 5.35am on Sunday, June 29, that a male, thought to be in his late 20s, was stuck near The Ship Inn, Handbridge.
Cheshire Fire Service pulled the man from the river and he was taken to the Countess of Chester hospital for assessment.
Police spokesman Dave Murray said: “There was a report of a male half in and half out of the water.
“He was out of the water by about 6am and was taken to the Countess of Chester hospital in an ambulance.”
