A SYMBOLIC peace dove will soon be flying from a Chester high school to Italy’s Adriatic coast.
The Peace Dove project was initiated by Chester’s twin town of Lörrach in Germany.
Chester received the dove last month in Lörrach and it has been handed to Upton High.
The dove, which was handed to headteacher Jane Holland by city council leader Cllr Margaret Parker, will be presented to Italian twin town Senigallia during the International Youth Games in early July.
Other schools are also invited to join in the initiative. Information is available from Maud Duthie-van der Venne, on 01244 402338.
