Six hundred Chester women raise £65,000 at Moonlight Walk

A WET midsummer did not deter more than 600 women from pounding the streets of Chester on Saturday night.

The walkers braved the downpour to complete The Countess of Chester’s Moonlight Walk 2008 which raised approximately £65,000 for the trust’s new fundraising appeal called Relative Comfort.

Equipped with a glittery Stetson hat as protection against the thundery showers, the women strode out at midnight to complete the 13 mile trek around the city Chester.
