Man, 42, subjected to serious assault outside Chester pub

A CHESTER man was seriously assaulted outside the Waggon and Horses pub in Western Avenue, Blacon, in the early hours of Saturday.

The 42-year-old white male, who has dark black hair, was drinking alone outside the pub at about 11pm on Friday and was discovered at 1.45am on Saturday. During that period he had been subjected to a serious assault and received head and brain injuries.

The victim is currently in intensive care and is described as in a serious but stable condition.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anybody who has any information or who was in or around the pub during that time and are asking them to call investigating officer Detective Constable Clare Fletcher on 01244 613134 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
