Going potty for gold award
THE HOLLIES Farm Shop helped Cheshire County Council win a gold award with their “Pot me up baby” table at the Cheshire Show.
The Little Budworth farm shop was filling hanging baskets for a small fee to help raise money to fund a guide dog which they want to call Hollie.
They were at the show representing local businesses on the county council stand. Judges awarded it a Gold Award for the best trade stand at the show.
As well as the Hollies, the council had a Recycle for Cheshire table, a Cheshire Year of Gardens flower bed and they provided the band stand at the show.
Cyril Birch from the Hollies Farm Shop said: “We are just trying to raise enough money to fund a guide dog. To do this we need around £5,000.”
Jo Rozsich, communications manager for Recycle for Cheshire, said: “We are delighted with the award. We are promoting our bags for life as well as celebrating Cheshire Year of Gardens, and local businesses.”
