Sculpture is stolen

A MUCH-loved sculpture has disappeared from a Chester park.
The heron sculpture, recently repaired and secured in the ground, was stolen from Caldy Nature Park.
Pam Atkinson of Friends of Caldy Nature Park said: “It had recently rotted at the base, been repaired and was firmly rooted back in the ground.
“If it had been knocked over and then dumped in the brook we would have mourned its loss but accepted it. But it appears to have been uprooted and carried away – no easy task as it is very heavy.”
