Car fire closes A55 at Chester

A CAR was set alight on a major Chester road on Tuesday, June 3.
Police closed the carriageway on the A55 at Great Boughton, while fire crews extinguished the blaze.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “On arrival, the car, a Volvo estate, was well alight. Police had closed the Chester-bound carriageway to enable the fire to be extinguished safely and was reopened shortly afterwards.”
