A CHARITY event is being held at Chester Racecourse to raise money for the Jacob Marsland Appeal.
The grand ball and auction is being held on Saturday, June 14 and starts with drinks on arrival at 7.30pm.
Six-year-old Jacob, from Kingsmead, Northwich, became ill shortly before his fifth birthday.
Tests revealed he was suffering from neuroblastoma, a rare and virulent form of cancer, and his family are raising money to fund a life-saving treatment in the US.
The auction will include a diamond necklace from Boodles, electrical goods, designer sunglasses and handbags, and holiday vouchers.
Tickets for the ball are £40, with tables available to seat up to 12. The price includes a three-course meal and entertainment including a band, DJ and disco.
