Musical treat for villagers

A MUSICAL visit to a village festival proved a success last weekend.

Chester Folk Festival took place in Kelsall over bank holiday weekend and saw visitors of all ages enjoy performances by musicians from the local area and across the world.

Organiser Cheryl Hunt said: “It went very well, we had full audiences in the main marquee on Saturday and Sunday and the attendance was at least as good as other years.”

The festival site next to the Morris Dancer pub will change slightly next year as it transformed Kelsall Green with recreation facilities by the new owners Kelsall Parish Council.

Cheryl said: “We are very happy with the draft plans which fit in around us.”
