Cooking up a tasty treat

THE berries have been stacking up at a Chester infant school.

Youngsters at Belgrave Infant School in Westminster Park made a specially created summer pudding called a Berry Stack as part of a Junior Chefs’ Academy workshop.

The school hall was transformed into a colourful kitchen during the two day workshop with posters informing children about healthy eating.

Headteacher Deanne Garratt said: “The children received clear instructions from head chef Paul Cooper who taught them food preparation skills in an amusing pacey way. They then helped themselves to fruit as a reward for correct answers and speed.
