Armed robbers raid Cheshire Oaks restaurant

ARMED robbers made off with cash from a busy restaurant at Cheshire Oaks.

Customers at Frankie and Benny’s, Ellesmere Port, were left terrified by the hold-up, which happened about 10.15pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

Three men, all wearing balaclavas and brandishing machetes, entered the restaurant and threatened staff before making off with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

They left in a black Audi A3 which was later found abandoned in Hillside Drive.
