Achievers awarded
STUDENT achievement was celebrated at St David’s High School, Saltney.
Former pupil Jane Montague (née Manifold), client services director of Majestic Publications Ltd in Mollington, presented the awards at the Year 11 Record of Achievement Award Ceremony. Headteacher Tony Davidson spoke at the event.
Special awards were presented to Clare Morris (art, German and IT), Sophie Edwards (child development), Lindsey Graham (Cymraeg), Laura Clutton (drama), Josh Eaton (English, history and geography), Michael Edwards (food), Sophie Pritchard (French), Amy Gee-Jones (mathematics), Matthew Ruddick (music), Josh Hughes, (PE Ivor Evans Award), Nia Cook (resistant materials), Luke Dorbin (science), Jessica Rogers (attendance) and Robert Potter and Rebecca Smith (School Council).
The awards were introduced by head of geography and Year 11 tutor Tudor Jones and a vote of thanks was given by Margaret Mackie, chair of the school’s governing body.
