Police investigate death of man found in city centre

POLICE are to investigate the death of a man found in Chester city centre last week.

The body of Andrew Todd, 24, was found in a car park at Heritage Court, Lower Bridge Street, last Thursday morning (May 15).

Andrew, of Westwood, Runcorn, was originally thought to be homeless but this was not the case. He had spent time at Harold Tomlins day centre in Grosvenor Street due to personal difficulties.

A post mortem examination carried out this week was inconclusive.

The coroner’s office has confirmed that an inquest was opened and adjourned on Wednesday and the matter is now under investigation.

He is survived by his fiancee and two children aged two and three.
