Security guard robbed at Chester bank

A SECURITY guard was attacked in a bank robbery at a busy Chester bank this afternoon (Wednesday, May 21).

Police were called to the Lloyds TSB Bank on Hoole Road, Chester, at about 2.15pm after reports that a Group 4 security guard making a delivery to the bank was attacked and a black bag was stolen.

A police spokesman said: “North Wales air support has been called. There were no firearms involved and it is not known what was in the black bag.”

Eye witness reports say there were several police patrol cars scouring the area.

No one was injured in the attack.
