Safety first as children meet wardens team

A CHESTER nursery received a visit from community safety wardens.

Little Friends Nursery welcomed the arrival of the officers to coincide with the group’s topic of ‘People who help us’ which includes ‘People in uniform’ and ‘When I grow up I want to be....’

The wardens arrived at the nursery in a 4x4 vehicle for the children to look at. This was also an opportunity for the children to learn about the role the officers play in their community.

Nicky Cunningham from Little Friends said: “It was fabulous. The children had a really great time. They sat in the 4x4 trucks and loved it.

“We are trying to get as many people from different lines of work in to vary the experience for the children and to make sure they get as much information as they can about the different role models out there who help them.”

This followed a visit the children had from the fire service last Friday.
