A FORMER Chester woman has pleaded not guilty to murdering her young daughter.

Joanne Marie Hill, of Goya Close in Connah’s Quay, appeared before Chester Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing this morning (Friday).

Dressed in a black suit and white fitted top, with her long dark wavy hair down, she spoke only to confirm her name and enter a plea.

Mrs Hill, 31, is accused of murdering four-year-old Naomi Hill in November, 2007.

Judge Elgan Edwards, Recorder of Chester, adjourned the case until June 18 for a pre-trial review.

A provisional trial date of June 6 has been scrapped and her custody time has been extended to June 19.
