Man’s body found in Chester city centre

A MAN was found dead in Chester city centre this morning (Thursday, May 15).

The man, who has not yet been identified, was found slumped in an underground car park beneath Heritage Court, Lower Bridge Street shortly before 8am.

Police spokeswoman Rachel Hayes confirmed that officers were called to the scene at 7.55am but said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

The matter is currently under investigation.
