Young Chester bride’s gift of life from fiance

A YOUNG bride is to fulfil her dream wedding after the groom offered the ultimate gift – a kidney to change her life.

Steve Boyer, 28, and fiancée Christy Millar, 22, will now be able to fly to the Caribbean for the beach setting ceremony.

Christy, of Great Sutton, is on the transplant waiting list. She cannot travel abroad because she has to use a dialysis machine every day.

The couple always planned to wed abroad after getting engaged three years ago, but had to put plans on hold when Christy’s appendix burst and she was left in a coma.
