Witness appeal for Tattenhall car collision

POLICE are appealing for a driver who may have witnessed a car and pedestrian collision in Tattenhall to come forward.

The pedestrian was knocked over on Chester Road, Gatesheath just outside Grange Farm on May 2.

The police believe the driver would have moved out and passed the pedestrian, who was later knocked down by the following car at around 8.20am to 8.30am.

Investigating officer PC Venables said: “The pedestrian who is in his 20’s is currently still in hospital, in a stable condition.

“We are keen to trace the driver of the car who may or may not have seen the collision behind him.

“The car would have been following two tractors who turned into Grange Farm just prior to when the collision occurred.

“I am keen to emphasise that there is no concern about how this first car was driven.”

The car was a small family car in a pale silver colour.

Anyone with information should call PC Venables on 01244 613168.
