Chester man denies assault at country pub

A 22-YEAR-old man has denied ABH and carrying an offensive weapon.
Sheldon Ward, from Durham Road, Blacon appeared at Chester Crown Court on Monday to face the charges, which related to an incident at the Bear and Ragged Staff, High Street, Tattenhall on February 4.
Ward also denied robbery in relation to an incident in November last year but admitted attempting to escape custody on November 30.
He has been remanded in custody until the trial on June 3.
