Stars in their eyes

THE STARS came out at a Frodsham primary school to raise more than £500 for a new sound system.

An enthusiastic audience saw 16 acts which included performances from Sugababes, Kylie Minogue and even Elvis Presley at Frodsham Manor House Primary School.

The judges awarded first place to Olympia Lyon for her performance as Amy Winehouse, second place to Jordan Owen, as hip-hop artist T-Pain, and joint third to Tom Vaughan, as Daniel Powter, and Robbie Jackson, as Chester Bennington.

Headteacher Ian Devereux-Roberts said: “All the children taking part worked on their own routines and with the help of their parents and grandparents costumed themselves.

“It was truly wonderful evening in which the children performing excelled. As a school we were exceptionally proud of their achievements. The event raised just over £500 for the Parents Association, which has enabled school to purchase a PA system and portable microphones to use in all future school productions.”
