Crowning glory for Abbey Gate’s May Day festivities

SUN shone on Abbey Gate School’s May Day celebrations.

Guest of honour, Judy Davies, a member of the Hoole school's Board of Governors, crowned this year's May Queen, seven-year-old Michaela Cregan.

Michaela was attended by page Joshua Acton, four, and cushion bearer Thomas Roden, five.

Infant children created hats for the occasion and performed songs and dances after the ceremony.

Proceedings concluded with tea and cakes for parents and guests.
