Cricketers bowled over by cash help from builders

BRYANT Homes has given £1,000 to Chester County Officers Cricket Club to help fund existing teams and support the club’s bid to launch four new youth teams.

The funding has also been used to sponsor this season’s team kits, proudly worn by the first XI at the inaugural match of the season against Barton.

Club chairman Tony Collard said: “We are delighted to have received this funding from Bryant Homes.

“With the creation of the new youngsters section, which will include teams for U16s, U15s, U10s and U9s, we really hope to encourage sportsmanship, respect and aptitude among children in the area and, above all, provide a fun and healthy way for them to express their energy.”
