Arrests are made during drugs raids

DRUGS were seized and two males arrested after raids at two addresses.

Police officers broke down the doors of two houses in Stamford Road, Blacon, at 7pm on Tuesday. They found cannabis and amphetamines at both addresses.

A 24-year-old and a 25-year- old male were arrested then cautioned, and an 18-year-old female and 25-year-old male were given warnings for drugs possession.

PC Dewi Bartlett said: “We were very happy with both raids. We made arrests and seized Class B and Class C drugs at both addresses.

“It means we have taken those drugs off the streets, and cautioned those arrested.”

He added: “Some of the neighbours were upset because there were children around when we made the raid. We assessed the risks and decided to go ahead.”
