A flavour to savour at the Cheshire Show
VISITORS to this year’s Cheshire Show can expect a cool treat.
Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, of Tattenhall, is producing a lip-smacking new flavour for the show at Tabley on June 17 and 18.
The Cheshire Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream is made from milk and cream produced by the farm’s 300 dairy cow herd.
Creator Jonathan Fell said: “We decided to produce the new flavour as a celebration of Cheshire’s thriving dairy industry.”
Diana McConnell, Lady Patroness of the Cheshire Show this year, added: “As official taster, I have been allowed a preview of the new ice cream and it’s absolutely delicious!
“As a leading dairy county it is vital that the show is used to promote and support local farmers and food producers.”
Ice cream has been produced at the Tattenhall farm for more than 20 years since Jonathan’s parents Tom and Margaret Fell decided to branch out and add value to their high quality milk and cream.
The ice cream parlour, one of the largest in the country, attracts more than a quarter of a million visitors annually and offers free tastings from a choice of 30 flavours.
