First wards declared show low turnout in Chester

THE official turnout figures for the first two wards announced for the Cheshire West and Chester authority are reflecting the low numbers nationally.

In the Blacon ward, which was first to be decated, the turnout was just 29.7%.

In the City ward, turnout was 32.4%.
