Chariot riders in pink fundraiser

Chariot riders in pink fundraiser

FOUR men and a pink chariot set off from Malpas this week to raise money for Cancer Research.

The Malpas Young Farmers – Phil Johnson, James Studley, Stuart Richards, Henry Dakin and Lynda Gough – set off on the two-day bike ride to Blackpool in the hope of raising £1,000 for Cancer Research.

Phil Johnson said: “We chose Blackpool because it’s fairly close and we can have a weekend away at the same time.”

The four-man bike was specially handmade for the journey.

Mr Johnson added: “The bike itself is made out of all sorts, including old school chairs. We haven’t had any major disasters, but we’ve encountered a few punctures on the way.”

The men are sponsored by S Dakin and Partners.
