Buses back to normal across reopened Hoole Bridge

BUS services provided by the First company are to revert to normal this weekend following the reopening of Hoole Bridge in Chester.

From Saturday, May 3, following the completion of roadworks on Hoole Bridge and the reopening of the carriageway, local bus services provided by First will come off diversion and revert to normal routes.

The following services are affected:

Service 53 - Chester City Centre to Kingsway, via Hoole Village:

Route diversions will end and the established route and frequency will be re-established. This will restore customers with convenient, fast and frequent services from Kingsway to local amenities such as Hoole Road shops and onwards into the city centre.

Service 51 - Chester City Centre to Plas Newton, via Dickson’s Drive:

This service had not been diverted but frequency and journey times had been amended. From Saturday normal frequency will be restored providing fast links to local amenities.
