Highways Agency announce closure of M56 slip road

THE eastbound exit slip road at Junction 1 of the M56 will be closed between 10pm tonight (Tuesday, April 29) and 5am tomorrow for repairs to safety fencing.
The slip road leads onto the A34 (Kingsway) northbound into Manchester.
Drivers should continue eastbound to J1 of the M60 for alternative access onto the A34, taking the first roundabout exit onto the A5145 Didsbury Road (then Parrs Wood Lane) on to the A34.
The announcement has come from the North West office of the Highways Agency.
