Vandals set fire to row of Chester conifer trees

A ROW of conifer trees was deliberately set alight in the early hours of this morning.

Cheshire Fire Service were called to the Westminster Park area of Chester at about 12.45am on Monday, April 28.

A spokesperson said: “There was a row of conifers that had been deliberately set on fire. We used one hose to extinguish the fire and we were there for about 20 minutes damping down and making sure the area was safe. It was a probable malicous ignition.”
