STUDENTS and staff at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas have been celebrating a good Ofsted report.
Inspectors were impressed by the quality of teaching and learning at the school which are reflected in the above average results.
The school was judged to be good in all 38 areas of the report which includes achievements and standards, personal development and leadership and management.
The inspectors were impressed by the school’s extra-curricular programme of trips and activities and its sixth form. Students were regarded as considerate and well behaved and were given many opportunities to prepare themselves for their adult working life.
Bishop Heber High School was included in The Sunday Times Best State Schools publication as one of the top 300 high performing state schools for the percentage of A* or A grades gained by students at GCSE.
