‘Abusive’ teenage yob handed ASBO

A 17-YEAR-OLD Chester yob has been stopped in his tracks after he was given an anti-social behaviour order.

The order, which comes with 14 conditions, was made at Chester Magistrates Court on April 14.

Joseph Henry, of Treborth Road, Blacon, described as “abusive, threatening and intimidating”, will have to adhere to the order until July 2011.

It will see him banned from associating with a list of five named people, entering the area of the Parade shops in Blacon, throwing anything at any building, vehicle or person and vandalising any building or structure internally and externally.

He is also banned from climbing any wall or structure and from encouraging others to behave in an anti-social manner.

PC Charlotte Lloyd-Brown, who was instrumental in obtaining the ASBO against Henry, said: “Joseph Henry, also known as Joe, has plagued the residents and shopkeepers in and around the Parade area of Blacon for some time. He has been abusive, threatening and intimidating and this order will enable us to exert more control over his problematic behaviour.

“This ASBO should give people in Blacon the respite they deserve and will act as a strong deterrent to others thinking of committing similar forms of anti-social behaviour.”

Sergeant Brian Green added: “We would like to commend those who came forward and helped us collate the information we required for obtaining a successful order against Joe Henry.

“A great deal of time and effort has been spent collating evidence and working closely with other agencies including Chester City Council, Chester Against Business Crime and Chester and District Housing Trust. This is a great example of official bodies and residents working together to solve community issues.”
