Cheshire farmer wins milk contract with Sainsbury’s

A BOLESWORTH Castle Estate farmer has secured a contract with supermarket giant Sainsbury’s to sell his farm’s milk in its North West stores.

John Archer, 52, has been farming Bolesworth Hill Farm on the estate for more than 20 years and said he was delighted to see his Meadow Milk being sold in 37 Sainsbury’s stores.

The retailer has launched two pint cartons of whole and semi-skimmed Meadow Milk, which is supplied through Creamline dairies.

Sainsbury’s hopes to sell nearly one million litres of Meadow Milk this year which will be 3% of total milk sales in the North West.
