Serious collision closes M56 section in Cheshire

A SECTION of the M6 has been closed following a serious collision.
Commuters planning to use the M6 between junctions 21 and 21a have been advised to alter their routes.
No details are available about the incident but it is likely to cause significant tailbacks for motorway users for at least the next two hours.
Cheshire Police have closed the M6 Southbound between J21 and J21a and reduced the northbound carriageway to two lanes.
The M62 southbound exit onto the M6 at Croft has also been closed.
