Working as a team for castle events

FAMOUS faces gave a new activity day a celebrity seal of approval last week.

Peckforton Castle Hotel is offering corporate clients a range of new activity packages including abseiling, archery and off-road driving.

Former Hollyoaks actor and Soap Star Superstar finalist Lee Otway, and fellow actors Luke Bailey of Casualty, Daniel Jillings from The Royal and Doctors and Steven Nicholas from Dream Team got together to enter a team in the “Escape the Castle Challenge” set against the medieval castle and the 4,000 acre Peckforton Estate. The two-day event was to raise awareness of team-building activities available as part of a range of business and conferencing services at Peckforton Castle.

General manager David Frost said: “There are not many venues that can offer the peace and privacy that three-foot thick walls afford for a business meeting.

“Team building is a big part of the conference market so we have got together with our partners Great Escapes and Land Rover to offer bespoke packages where conference organisers can choose from a menu of activities from hovercraft racing to falconry.”

Peckforton Castle offers five private function rooms. It was acquired by the Naylor family June 2006 and was transformed by a £1 million refurbishment.
