CAMPAIGNERS appealing for a school building to be saved from demolition have been given a potential lifeline.
Pharmacist Rakesh Shukla argues the Thomas Wedge C of E Junior school building in Saughall could be used to house his pharmacy, the parish council and the playgroup.
Cheshire County Council have submitted plans to build a new combined primary school where the 19th century building now stands on Church Road.
Parish councillor Rakesh Shukla, who runs Saughall Pharmacy, on Church Road said: “It’s a beautiful building that needs to be saved for the community.
