Villagers win fight to stop Chester soil firm moving in

VILLAGERS have won their battle to stop a soil supply firm’s plan to move on to farmland.

The uproar has persuaded the farmer to change his mond about selling land to soil specialists Dandy’s Topsoil which Saughall residents claimed would create an industrial-scale business in their community.

And this week Adam Dandy, owner of the 200-year-old Chester business, said the company had now secured a deal to stay at their current 25-year-old Sealand Road site.

He said: “I am extremely pleased to be able to tell you that after long discussions we have been able to secure our current site on Sealand Road in Chester.”
