VAUXHALL FC stunned the football world last night as they knocked Second Division QPR out of the FA Cup.
The magic Motormen secured a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory thanks to the spot-kick heroics of goalkeeper Andy Ralph at Loftus Road after their first round replay ended 1-1 following extra time.
Alvin McDonald's team of mechanics, bank clerks and electricians matched their professional opponents for more than three-and-a-half hours over two games before holding their nerve in the shoot-out drama.
Vauxhall's reward is a trip to Macclesfield Town on Saturday, December 7 which will be shown live on Sky TV and bring the club a guaranteed £100,000 payout - more than five times their gate money for an entire season.
It is the first time an Ellesmere Port club has reached the second stage of the Cup. Now Vauxhall are just a win away from a potential showdown with the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United.
