CHESHIRE and Warrington Economic Alliance (CWEA) is delighted to be sponsoring the Large Business Award category in the Cheshire Business Awards 2009.
CWEA works with partners across Cheshire and Warrington, including local authorities, public sector agencies and businesses, to create a vibrant environment in which businesses can grow and prosper, while protecting and enhancing the quality of life for workers, visitors and residents.
With its partners, CWEA is helping to support and bring forward projects in Cheshire and Warrington that will generate significant sums of public and private sector investment over the next three years.
During the past year, CWEA has taken on new responsibilities to ensure that Cheshire and Warrington gains maximum benefit for projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund, as well as identifying opportunities for businesses and priority interventions required around climate change.
By working together to identify and agree on the priorities for action, CWEA and its partners can influence public sector spending in the area and ensure that the projects it takes forward, funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, local authorities, public sector agencies, and private sector partners, make a difference to the economy.
