AN AWARD-WINNING hair company is planning a business extension...50 new salons by 2016.
Tommy’s, which has salons in Chester and Ruthin, launched the Tommy’s Franchise this week.
The nine-year-old firm will soon open another branch, in Llandudno, and wants a further 50 across the country in a bid to solidify the Tommy’s brand.
As four times winners of the British Salon of the Year award – something no other UK hairdresser has ever achieved – directors Tommy van der Veken and Esther van der Veken-Prins have big ideas for the firm’s future, to run alongside their other business models; Tommy’s Design, Tommy’s Models, Tommy’s Marketing, Tommy’s Hair Tools, and Tommy’s Training.
Tommy said: “Esther and I believe Tommy’s franchise will provide a fantastic opportunity for business-minded people to join a fashionable and creative culture.
“We are extremely excited and positive about the franchise. We are working with an excellent group of experts who can help potential franchisees through the entire process from selecting the best site for their salon, negotiating with landlords, lawyers and bank managers, through to securing the salon furniture and fittings.”
Esther said training and education has been a “massive contribution” to their success, and they place huge value on its impact.
“Through our internal academy every stylist will be fully trained in Tommy’s unique freestyle approach to quality personalised styling,” she added.
“We will also provide our franchisees with fantastic design, PR and marketing tools and assistance courtesy of our unique design, marketing and PR teams.
“Tommy’s franchise is not just for hairdressers, it is open to anyone that believes they have the personality, creative flair, passion and business common sense to offer the ‘Tommy’s experience’.”
