Chester-based Muir Housing makes new appointment its management board

A NEW appointment has been made to the board of management of Muir Group Housing Association.

Clare Babbs will help influence decisions and plan policies to help Muir Group achieve its goals.

Clare, who lives in Hoole, is already a board member of the Chester-based association’s charity arm Friends Of Muir Group.

“I have already seen the fantastic work Muir Group are doing in the community through FOMG and wanted to get even more involved,” said Clare, a mother-of-two.

“I am really looking forward to helping to make decisions that have a real impact on improving residents’ lives.”

Clare currently runs her own consultancy, advising organisations about how they can improve their performance in order to deliver customer-focussed service.

Before that she worked for Chester City Council, the North West Development Agency and Government Office North West.

On top of her consultancy work Clare is also a trustee of Chester Voluntary Action and is chair of Blacon Community Trust.

Muir Group Housing Association manages more than 4,700 properties and is a key provider of supported housing schemes for vulnerable people across the country.

Chief executive John Bellis said: “Clare has a huge range of skills and experience that will be a real benefit to our board and association and we are delighted to welcome her on board.”
